TAKE THE NEXT STEP

PADI OPEN WATER AND ADVANCED PACKAGE

Start with the foundations, then keep building while everything is still fresh.

The PADI Open Water and Advanced package is for beginners who want more than the first certification. You begin with the full Open Water course, then continue into Advanced Open Water to build confidence, improve your diving, and experience more of Koh Tao underwater.

With Flow Divers, this is not about rushing through two courses. It is about learning properly, getting comfortable in the water, and finishing with more experience, more confidence, and a much better idea of
the kind of diving you enjoy.

FROM YOUR FIRST BREATH TO ADVANCED DIVING

Some people only want to try diving. Others already know they want to go further.

This package is for the second kind of diver —
someone who wants to start from the beginning, then keep going while the skills, confidence and excitement are still fresh.

Over five days, you complete your PADI Open Water Diver course first, then move straight into the PADI Advanced Open Water course. You go from beginner training to deeper dives, navigation, buoyancy practice, wreck diving, night diving and more experience around Koh Tao.

START PROPERLY

You begin with the basics: equipment, safety, pool practice, buoyancy, communication and your first four ocean training dives.

The goal is not just to pass the course.
It is to feel ready for the dives that come next.

SEE MORE OF KOH TAO

Advanced Open Water opens up more dive options around Koh Tao.

You can experience deeper sites, wreck dives, night diving, navigation and better buoyancy control, depending on schedule and conditions.

KEEP BUILDING

Once the Open Water course is complete, the Advanced course gives you five more dives with an instructor.

You practise new skills, dive different sites, and start to understand how diving changes with depth, navigation, light, conditions and dive planning.

FINISH MORE CONFIDENT

By the end, you have completed two PADI certifications and nine dives.

More importantly, you have spent five days building comfort, awareness and confidence underwater.

START THE THEORY BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll help you get set up with your PADI eLearning, so you can start the theory before the course begins.
This makes the first day feel smoother and gives you more time to focus on the practical training once you are here.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Work through the theory at your own pace before you arrive. It covers equipment, safety, dive planning, underwater communication and the basic ideas you need before training in the water.

WHEN YOU MEET US

You do not need to arrive knowing everything.
We’ll go through the important parts with you, answer your questions, and make sure you feel ready before each in-water session.

HOW THE PACKAGE IS STRUCTURED

The package is split into two clear parts.

First, you complete the PADI Open Water Diver course.
This gives you the foundation: pool training, safety skills, buoyancy practice and four ocean training dives.

Then, you continue into PADI Advanced Open Water. This gives you five more dives with an instructor, including deep diving,
navigation and other experience dives suited to the schedule, conditions and course plan.

PADI OPEN WATER COURSE

Your first certification.

The Open Water part is where everything begins. You learn how the equipment works, how to communicate underwater, how to control your buoyancy, how to manage basic dive skills, and how to dive safely with a buddy.

This part includes pool training and four ocean training dives around Koh Tao.

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE

Your next step straight after Open Water.

The Advanced part is less classroom-style and more experience-based. You complete five Adventure Dives, each focused on a different part of diving.

Your course plan includes dives such as Deep, Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck and Night, depending on schedule, conditions and suitability.

WHO CAN JOIN THE PADI OPEN WATER AND ADVANCED PACKAGE

You do not need previous diving experience to start this package, but there are a few simple requirements we will check before training begins.

AGE AND EXPERIENCE

No previous diving experience is needed to start this package, as the Open Water course begins with the basics and builds step by step.

Because the full package includes Advanced Open Water, the complete package is usually suitable from 12 years old.

WATER COMFORT

You do not need to be a perfect swimmer, but you should feel comfortable in the water.

Before certification, PADI asks students to complete basic water skills, including a swim and a 10-minute float or tread-water exercise.

MEDICAL FORM

Every student needs to complete
a scuba medical questionnaire before the course.

If anything needs checking, we’ll let you know whether medical clearance is needed before diving.

TIME AND ENERGY

This is a full five-day package, with theory, pool training, ocean dives and early or afternoon boat schedules.

It is a brilliant way to learn, but it is still a full few days, so it helps to arrive rested and ready to focus.

YOUR DIVES, PROFESSIONALLY CAPTURED

Your first nine ocean dives are a big part of your diving story.

If you choose the All-Inclusive Deluxe option, professional photos are included on some of your dives,
so you can enjoy the course while someone else captures the moments properly.

This is especially nice for the Open Water and Advanced package, because you are not just doing one course.
You are going from beginner to Advanced, and it is worth having something beautiful
to look back on.
