What We Take Care Of
We include your PADI Discover Scuba Diving materials, full scuba equipment, instructor guidance, diving insurance, pool practice and two supervised ocean dives.
Before the day starts, we will explain everything clearly, help you feel comfortable with the equipment and make sure you understand
what to expect before heading to the water.

BEFORE THE BOAT
8:30 — Meet At Flow Divers Shop
Check in, equipment prep and day plan.
9:00 — Briefing
Safety points, equipment and hand signals.
9:30 — Pool Session
Practise the basics before the ocean dives.
OCEAN DIVES AND RETURN
10:50 — Break
Time to reset before the boat.
11:30 — Two Ocean Dives
Two supervised dives with your instructor.
16:30–18:00 — Return To Flow Divers Shop
Return time depends on the daily boat schedule.
Please note: this is the usual schedule of the day.
Exact timings can change slightly depending on boat logistics, sea conditions and the plan for your dives.
We’ll confirm the best schedule before the course starts.
SHORT ON TIME?
If the normal boat schedule does not work for you,
we may sometimes be able to arrange your two ocean dives from shore instead.
The day starts in the same way, with your briefing and pool session at Flow Divers. If we finish too late to join the boat, we can travel by taxi to one of the bays around Koh Tao and continue your dives from shore.
This option needs to be arranged with us in advance and depends heavily on the weather,
sea conditions and which dive sites are suitable on the day.

Before your diving day, we help you get familiar with the basics, so the experience feels clearer and less overwhelming when you arrive.

TRY SCUBA DIVING AT YOUR OWN PACE
Your first dive should not feel rushed. We keep the day calm, clear and personal, so you have time to settle in before heading to the ocean.
Time To Feel Comfortable
You do not need to arrive feeling confident. We start slowly, explain things clearly and give you time in the pool before your ocean dives.
This gives you space to get used to the equipment, practise the basics and ask questions before moving on.
Support From Start To Finish
Your instructor stays close throughout the experience, from the first briefing to your supervised ocean dives.
The aim is simple: help you feel safe, relaxed and able to enjoy your first proper look at the underwater world.

You do not need previous diving experience, but there are a few simple things we check before you get in the water.
Age And Comfort In The Water
PADI Discover Scuba Diving is open to beginners from 10 years old. You do not need to be a strong swimmer, but you should feel comfortable in the water and able to support yourself at the surface.
Medical Form
Before diving, every participant completes a short scuba medical questionnaire. Most people can dive straight away, but some medical answers may require doctor clearance before joining.
No Previous Diving Experience Needed
This experience is designed for complete beginners.
We guide you through the basics, pool practice and your supervised ocean dives step by step.
A First Dive, Not A Certification
Discover Scuba Diving lets you try scuba under direct supervision, but it does not certify you to dive independently afterwards. It is a first step, not a full course.

Do I need previous diving experience?
No. PADI Discover Scuba Diving is made for complete beginners, so you do not need any previous scuba experience.
How old do I need to be?
The minimum age for PADI Discover Scuba Diving is 10 years old.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
No, but you should feel comfortable in the water and able to support yourself at the surface.
Do I need to complete a medical form?
Yes. Every participant completes a short scuba medical questionnaire before diving. Some answers may require doctor’s clearance.
How deep will I go?
Only as deep as you feel comfortable. For open-water Discover Scuba Diving, the maximum depth is 12 metres.
Is Discover Scuba Diving safe for nervous beginners?
Yes, it is designed as a supervised first experience. We start slowly, practise in the pool first and only move to the ocean once you feel ready.
Can I fly after Discover Scuba Diving?
You should leave enough time between diving and flying. For two ocean dives, it is safest to plan at least 18 hours before flying.
Can I continue to the PADI Open Water Course afterwards?
Yes. If you love the experience, the PADI Open Water Course is the natural next step towards becoming a certified diver.
