HOW YOUR PADI DEEP DIVER SPECIALTY WORKS

This course is built around four deep training dives, with time to plan properly, understand depth and stay more controlled underwater.

Plan The Dive

Learn how deeper dives are planned, including depth, timing, gas use and the safety checks that matter more below normal training depths.

Understand Depth Effects

See how depth can affect air use, pressure, colours and clear thinking, with your instructor helping you stay aware throughout the dive.

Improve Your Control

Practise steady descents, buoyancy and ascent awareness, so you feel more controlled before, during and after the deeper part of the dive.

Stay Aware At Depth

Use your computer, gas checks and buddy contact more deliberately, so deeper dives feel planned rather than rushed
or accidental.

UNDERSTAND WHAT CHANGES AT DEPTH

The PADI Deep Diver Specialty is not about chasing depth.
It is about knowing what changes deeper underwater and learning how to stay calm, organised and aware.

More Than Going Deeper

You learn how depth affects air use, light, colours, pressure and no-decompression time, so deeper dives feel planned rather than rushed.

The aim is to help you understand what is happening during the dive, not simply follow someone deeper without knowing why.

Planning, Control And Awareness

Your instructor guides you through deeper training dives with clear briefings, gas checks, buddy contact and controlled ascents.

You finish with a better feel for deep diving, stronger awareness at depth and more confidence using your dive computer properly.
