THEIR FIRST SCUBA EXPERIENCE, STEP BY STEP

Trying scuba for the first time is a big moment, especially when you are eight or nine years old.

We keep the experience simple and fun, while making sure your child understands what is happening and feels comfortable before moving on.

Getting Ready

We’ll show them the scuba equipment, make sure everything fits properly and explain a few simple hand signals before getting into the pool.

There is plenty of time to ask questions and get comfortable before we start.

Pool Session

We begin in very shallow water, where they can practise breathing through the regulator and get used to moving around with the equipment.

We stay close, keep things relaxed, and only move on when they feel comfortable.

First Ocean Dive

Once they’re happy in the pool, we head to a shallow bay around Koh Tao for their first dive in the ocean.

The dive stays within Bubblemaker limits, with a PADI Professional right beside them throughout.
